Job Description

In this role you will;

  • Generate P&L with a detailed knowledge of the metals markets (Ferrous / non-ferrous) and Iron Ore.
  • Enhance the Commodity desk capabilities and help grow the Metals P&L.
  • Establish relationships with key clients and counter-parties.
  • Price, Execute and manage the Risk around client flow.
  • Solid Risk understanding;
    • Manage the risk position of the desk within limits.
    • Manage desk risk tolerance.
    • Monitor the risks in the global commodity book.
  • Responsible for adding revenue streams to Commodities.
  • Continue to have close interaction with sales on trading/hedging ideas.
  • Work closely with the sales team to create solutions.
  • Ensure trading positions are reported daily.
  • Look to always enhance market and customer perception of the bank as the institution for banks & corporates to handle their commodity (metals) hedging requirements.
You:
  • Come from an Investment Bank or Trade House in a Metals Trading role.
  • Have at least 5 years exposure in a similar role (Metals trading).
  • Strong knowledge of commodity markets, trading platforms and trading systems.
  • Demonstrable track record of managing commodities risk.
  • Strong team player, working with internal stakeholders across the Commodities business.
  • Have the ability to exploit new business avenues, generate additional flow across the whole unit.
  • Brings knowledge, expertise and promotes new ways to enhance the desk.
