What youll doIn this high-profile role, your primary area of focus will be to work with our Group Chief of Staff to support the Group Chief Executive in driving the delivery of NatWest Groups strategy, and the key priorities needed to run a successful organisation. Your own top priorities will include:
  • Leading and developing our CEO & Chairmans Private Office team
  • Managing day-to-day matters for our CEO and Chairman
  • Providing expert strategic and operational support
  • Collaborating with our Communications teams to ensure strong and successful coordination in managing our CEOs reputation
  • Teaming up with colleagues across our organisation in support of the CEO and Chairmans objectives
  • Working with external partners nationally and internationally to deliver strategic projects
The skills youll needTo make an impact in this role, your knowledge, experience and leadership qualities will be key. Thats why were looking for an exceptional business management leader who can demonstrate a successful track record of supporting a senior executive to deliveroperational and strategic support. In terms of your leadership style, youll be approachable, encouraging, and inclusive of peoples ideas and perspectives, demonstrating transparency and integrity in the decisions you make to build trust and advocacy among your stakeholders. Youll know theimportance of clear and authentic communication, and be able to influence in a purposeful way. Youll also bring great working habits too, like being organised, thorough and painstaking in your work, creative and collaborative in your approach to problem solving, and composed and self-aware when working under pressure. And youll bring this all together with:
  • Your experience of managing a business management function in a large, complex organisation
  • A strong desire and genuine interest in driving continuous improvement
  • Exceptional writing and proof-reading skills
  • A detailed understanding of the commercial context we operate in
  • Your strong sense of resilience
  • Excellent presentation skills, and the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Your ability to galvanise support and operate in a convener capacity
