Job Description

The Talent Set are happy to be partnering with Asthma UK to find their new Digital Product Designer.Asthma UK and the British Lung Foundation are working to change the lives of everyone affected by asthma, bronchiectasis, COPD, ILD, mesothelioma, pulmonary fibrosis and all other lung conditions. Our world-leading research finds new ways to prevent, treatand cure lung disease. And our campaigns help make vital, lasting change.Why were recruiting this role:As the Digital Product Team, we are responsible for assisting in the strategic development and optimisation of various digital products within the organisation. We are looking for someone to augment this team with their proven experience and technical abilitiesin UX, experimentation and design thinking.This role will be fundamental in helping to move the needle in digital transformation within the organisation.What youll be doing:

  • Support the Digital Product Team shape the digital future of the organisation by optimising donation journeys and user experiences related to the support and advice we provide to those suffering from lung conditions.
  • As we expand our digital platforms, you will help to design new solutions related to helping the community we benefit come together.
  • You will use data and insights to inform decisions, test prototypes and build an internal culture of continuous improvement.
  • Be a key part of the organisations ongoing digital transformation by aiding in the communication with and education of colleagues and other stakeholders about digital engagement developments and how it benefits people with lung conditions and the Partnership
  • Collaborate with the Digital Product Team and other relevant teams in the agreement, development and maintenance of coherent standards for user experience, data protection, accessibility, brand and copy across the Partnerships digital products.
To do this the right candidate will have:
  • Experience in collaborating with related disciplines such as UX and UAT and Analytics.
  • Experience with wireframing/prototyping tools, productivity tools, HTML, CSS, JS, SEO etc.
  • Flexible and quick to adapt to platform back-ends - e.g. Shopify, Drupal, Wordpress, Squarespace, Engaging Networks - i.e. capable of providing first-level support where needed.
  • Strong analytical skills and competency with tools like Google Analytics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present findings, manage stakeholders and collaborate well with a diverse set of teams. Showing a demonstrable passion for the subject matter at hand is key.
