Job Description

In response to the increasing awareness of the energy sectors importance, we are working with Energy UK to find a digital communications professional to join a brand-new role in their Strategic Communications directorate.This Digital Communications Manager position will take responsibility for setting the digital communications strategy, as well as designing and delivering engaging, creative digital content across multiple social media channels.The team is dynamic, working closely with not just the wider directorate (which includes press communications and public affairs), but also the Policy team to identify content and campaign potential which reflects their key messages.Additionally, you will:

  • Spearhead Energy UKs social media strategy and execution in collaboration with the Head of Digital Content and Digital Communications Executive.
  • Utilise design expertise to craft visually appealing content for various channels, including supplementary materials like banners, PowerPoint presentations, and event invitations.
  • Collaborate with Energy UKs membership to pinpoint promotional prospects, collaborate on case studies, and coordinate campaigns.
  • Supervise the production of the weekly members newsletter and other publications.
Personal specifications:
  • Proficient in managing social and digital media platforms, adept at crafting written content tailored for diverse channels.
  • Skilled in generating engaging visual content using tools like InDesign, showcasing creativity and innovation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of simplifying complex topics for various audiences.
  • Exhibit initiative and discernment in decision-making processes.
  • Enthusiastic about the energy sector, eager to deepen understanding and play a role in achieving net zero goals.
  • Desirable skills include film production and editing expertise.
  • Familiarity with accessible communication principles is also advantageous.
