Digital Audit is a specialist team within our Audit practice that combines a mix of technology, data, business and accounting expertise to how we audit clients across all industries. There are two sides to Digital Audit which include; using our latesttools to help digitise the way we deliver audits through automation, AI, data analytics and innovation - known as Digital Auditing. The other side is Auditing Digital which involves auditing our clients technology to give them assurance that security andcontrols are in place. This includes infrastructure, Cloud, and applications. As part of the team youll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, industries and technologies and youll develop the business skills, knowledge and relationshipsyou need to build a career thats more than just numbers. Were constantly investing in audit technology and the skills of our people to keep up with the rapid pace of change and to deliver trust that is deeper, broader and more forward-looking. The DA teamis part of the larger UK Audit practice. We provide and develop innovation initiatives across a large array of our audit clients. We do this through the implementation of advanced analytics, robotics, AI and machine learning, leveraging the best technologiescurrently on the market. The team works with audit clients and internal audit stakeholders to develop data-driven audit approaches and generate crucial insights and find patterns in data to match with our understanding of client risk assessments. We also buildscalable automated solutions for existing audit processes across an array of industries. We often assure that information and data provided to the audit practice is accurate, complete, and can be trusted.As a Manager, you will be managing engagements and willbe responsible for designing and developing ways to automate and reimagine audits. You would develop audit solutions by implementing innovative technologies, such as Alteryx, SQL. Python, R, Power BI, Process Intelligence. You will build a strong understandingfor the role data and analytics plays in the modern day audit.Youll get to work on technical assignments enabling you to develop skills in a range of data analytics and visualisation. As well as developing business and soft skills around the topic of dataand analytics within the audit which our clients are demanding today.Day to day responsibilities will include: Day to day coaching of junior staff members to help them progress Owning and delivering client engagements Data management, including data extractionand data cleansing processes; Analytics and reporting, including visualisation of data to help organisations manage business risk establish the right controls, processes and structures to ensure that information can be trusted and improve decision-making;Advanced analytics, where we use data science techniques to help our clients navigate future risks and opportunities through predictive and prescriptive analytics.Essential Skills: Strong market credentials in data & analytics working with large organisationsand an ability to demonstrate knowledge and insight in data management, data cleansing and data analytics within the audit process; Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, including communication with senior stakeholders of a non-data background(being able to communicate technical issues in simple business terms) and excellent reporting writing skills; Solid experience in managing projects, including developing project plans, budgets and deliverables schedules; Experience of managing people bothin terms of managing delivery teams and providing coaching to individuals; Experience of the full engagement delivery lifecycle including risk and stakeholder management; Proven analytical and problem solving capabilities on complex engagements; and Potentialand ambition to develop a long -term career in PwC.Desirable Skills: Basic finance process knowledge (Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Financial Services etc) and how ERPs manage and structure the data; Audit experience, and experience of applying data analyticswithin the external audit process; and Use of technology in data & analytics including for use in providing managed servicesTechnical Skills: Knowledge and experience of at least three of the following: Data extraction from financial accounting systems; Dataclearing techniques and tools A vision of how data analytics are going to be applied and development in the external audit practice Understanding of key accounting principles and process cycles including revenue to receivables, purchase to cash Data analytictechnology such as Alteryx, SQL, Python, R, Snaplogic SQL (preferably SQL Server) and data manipulation; and Machine learning techniques Use of visualisation technologies such as Power BI and TableauQualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor degree or demonstrableexperience working with Data At least 6 years experience working in data analytics or data related environments; and A technical background in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Accounting or similar is desirableThe locationFind out more about our PwC officelocations.Not the role for youDid you know PwC offer flexible contract arrangements as well as contingent work (ie temporary or day rate contracting)The skills we look for in future employeesAll our people need to demonstrate the skills and behaviours thatsupport us in delivering our business strategy.
