Our client provide real-time air quality insights to clients through a cloud-based system.Their expansion has led to the creation of a new DevOps role; to manage and develop this system in line with their growth and to meet new client requirements.Its a great opportunity for either an experienced or aspiring DevOps engineer to shape the development of this important and high profile system - you’ll be able to build your experience and develop your career rapidly in line with our clients own growth.Role· Ensure availability and performance of this Linux/Ubuntu based cloud platform· Optimise data storage· Create and implement a plan to migrate to serverless architecture· Optimise current back-up solutions· Develop automated performance reporting· Expand platform features, capability and capacity of the platformThe system runs on Linux/Ubuntu and relies on data from sensors using MQTT, so experience in these areas is important. The role involves programming so experience with - Java/JS/Angular/Python is also important.Its an advantage, but not essential, if you also have proven experience with IoT-based systems and in some of the following areas;
