Job Description

BRAND NEW PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR A GLOBAL CONSULTANCY WORKING ON A MIXTURE OF PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SECOTR ACOUNTS

  • Permanent Opportunity for a DevOps Engineer
  • Woking or Holborn based
  • Sponsorship through security clearance
  • £55K to £110K salaries plus benefits
  • 10 extra days off per year to go towards training and development certifications
WHAT WILL THE DEVOPS ENGINEER BE DOINGYou will be working in a team on technically challenging, cross functional engineering projects with the aim of building supportable, sustainable, and reliable services. You will be collaborating with customer stakeholders to capture and elaborate on DevOpsrequirements. You will be part of creating the right environment for your multidisciplinary team to succeed, participating in sprints, daily stand-ups, and planning sessions. You will be keeping pace with the introduction of relevant agile / lean tools andtechniques as well as working with great technology forming part of the UK Governments IT strategy.WE NEED THE DEVOPS ENGINEER TO HAVE
  • A desire to learn new technologies
  • Hands on DevOps delivery experience working on digital or technology projects either at a leading consultancy, agency, or Government organisation
  • AWS experience
  • Expertise in provisioning infrastructure using Terraform
  • Linux administration experience
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Git, Jira, or Confluence
  • Software engineering experience is a bonus (C/C++/Java/Python/Go/Rust/Node)
  • Agile/Lean delivery processes
DESIRABLE TRAITS
  • Kubernetes experience
  • Docker knowledge
  • Experience working with the UK Government is a bonus
  • AWS Certifications
