Continuation subject to future funding.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development and Fundraising Officer to join Islington Refugee and Migrant Forum. IRMF is a refugee led organisation striving to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of Islington’s refugees and asylum seekers by strengthening the capacities of Refugee Community and Migrant Organisations (RMCO).The post holder will be responsible for:- The effective coordination of IRMF’s office and the organisation’s affairs;- The successful delivery and development of its existing projects;- Building up the organisation’s capacity and securing resources to expand services;- Providing capacity-building support to IRMF’s Refugee and Migrant Community Organisations (RMCOs) members;- Advocating for the needs of member organisations and the communities they represent with relevant stakeholders and policy-makers.We are looking for candidates with experience in a coordination and management role with the knowledge of developing and delivering successful projects, as well as fundraising. Applicants must have an excellent track record in fundraising, preparing funding applications and other relevant income generating activities, in addition to experience in capacity building projects.The applicant should have excellent understanding of the challenges that second tier organisations face in the current Covid-19 crisis. Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent understanding of the needs and experiences of refugees and migrants in the UK, and a clear understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities and safeguarding.
