Job Description

Were partnering with a leading London housing developer with a strong social purpose, to recruit an ambitious Development Accountant to join the team in a newly created role.As the Development Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for the diverse portfolio of development projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the projects whilecollaborating with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key part in preparing accurate and timely management reports for various finance committees
  • Working closely with development teams on monthly timelines
  • Deliver accurate high quality accounting records for Peabodys accounts (including all subsidiaries) and other external legal reporting requirements.
  • Provide support for ad hoc queries or signposting stakeholders to relevant teams across finance.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand needs and improve quality of management reports
  • Drive automation and process improvements where possible
  • Where appropriate act as a financial lead on large scale, high risk and transformational projects and initiatives within the directorate
  • Ensure transactions are processed reconciliations on key accounts are complete.
  • Carry out any other duties and deputise for the Finance Manager as required.
The ideal candidate will;
  • Be either a finalist or fully qualified CCAB accountant
  • Have experienced working with large data sets and strong excel skills
  • Have experience in financial analysis and ideally have been involved in a financial planning process
  • Be solutions focussed, be proactive and have strong written and verbal communication skills
