Job Description

Desktop Support SpecialistSoftware SolutionsContract 3-4 MonthsCentral London, UKInterQuest are working in partnership with an innovative software solutions company based in Central London and we are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist on a contractual basis.Our Software Solution partner requires the service of an experienced Desktop Support Specialist who will be required to deliver support tasks related to outsourcing at scale. The project will include onboarding of contractors/consultants and 3rdparties.Tasks include

  • Set up and account creation for third party contractors in accordance with security processes.
  • Set up, install, and manage permissions to company systems in accordance with standard procedures, including:
    • Ticketing systems,
    • Knowledge base system,
    • Development tools,
    • lower environments,
  • Maintain and document hardware inventory.
  • Prepare Hardware / Virtual Machine provision on demand following company standards and security policies.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support, ensuring all issues are documented and resolved.
  • Develop and maintain up to date any training and onboarding documentation.
Experience & Technologies/Tools
  • 2 -3 years of experience in a Desktop supportTechnical Support role.
  • Understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching and Firewalls.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers,fax machines, scanners, copiers and audio/visual equipment (cisco/webex)
  • Proven experience administering: Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Microsoft Office 2007-2016, MacOS and Linux.
  • Strong skills managing Active Directory (Users, contacts, permissions, groups...)
  • Experience with management systems SCCM/MDT and MDM (XenMobile, Airwatch, MobileIron)
  • Security Services - Trend Micro/EPO/WSUS/Secunia/VPN
  • Experience with Dell/Lenovo/HP/Apple hardware
