Job Description

Dell Storage/Server Sales Consultant Key areas: DC, Data Centre, Cloud, Business Development. BDM, Overlay, Pre-sales, Solution Sales, Overlay, EqualLogic , iSCSI, HPE, SAN, NAS, Netapp, Poweredge, H-Series, N-Series, S-Series, Z-Series, PowerVault, CompellentLocation: Remote for the first 6-months but would like someone that can commute to the SE/London Regions for 1-2 days a week when restrictions are liftedSalary: £50-60,000 basic + OTE - £100-120,000Chapman Tate Associates seeks a Dell Storage/Server Solutions Consultant to join this internationally based IT Systems Integrator. Ideally my client would like someone in the SE/London regions. You will work from home till September but there will be an expectation to get into London past this date 1-2 days a week. My client has a number of offices throughout the UK and you will be able to work from regional offices as and when.This is a new role where you will act as an overlay to help collaborate with internal sales and technical teams in order to support them in winning new largescale opportunities, as well as pursuing Server/Storage only opportunities.Working within the Data Centre Sales team you will be working alongside a number of Internal Account Managers, Vendors and External customers to help identify and qualify DC and Cloud based pipeline. You will act as an overlay helping proposition services around Storage and DC related solutions.The role will include the following areas:

  • Evaluate contract spend in an organisation in order to optimise spending patterns, technology usage, and implementation strategies.
  • Show insight and thought leadership to our customers and partners regarding cloud, consumption models and as-a-Service’ contracts and commercial agreements
  • Develop strong knowledge of industry trends by developing proactive professional relationships with technology partners
  • Provide leadership and knowledge to customers and maintain a strong presence in the platform and hybrid industry community

  • Develop strategy to maximise opportunities and grow market share
  • Work with complex customers shaping and defining deals around solutions such as PowerVault, Equallogic, Poweredge, H-Series, N-Series, S-Series, Z-Series servers and Compellent SAN/Server related Solutions.
  • *Any experience in selling other Server/SAN solutions relating to IBM, HPE, Netapp, Nutanix and VMware, within a Vendor/Reseller/MSP space - please get in touch as my client is open.The successful candidate will experience of working for ideally a MSP/Reseller where you have sponsored or championed a particular product (relating to DC/SAN based solutions).You will have excellent customer-facing skills and have the ability to build relationships.Other industry experience will include an understanding of Hyperconverged Technology, Data Management & Protection, Compute, Private / Public / Hybrid Cloud infrastructure models.
