Job Description

Role Overview:The integration of Tilney and Smith & Williamson systems and processes requires the clients currentlymanaged on the Avaloq platform to be migrated to our strategic Alpha platform. The primary role ofthis job is to manage the migration of these clients data from Avaloq to Iress to enable theconsolidation onto the Alpha platform.Key Responsibilities:

  • Works under broad direction. Work is often self-initiated. Is fully responsible for meeting
allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectives. Establishes milestones and has asignificant role in the assignment of tasks and/or responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain the migration plan, accounting for technical and non-technical aspects
  • Lead a team of BA/Data analysts to establish:
o Quality of data to be migrated and create a data cleanse plan as requiredo Establish with Iress (the vendor) the method of migration for each data item.o Execute the plan to migrate the data.o Ensure both client and internal communications are timely accurate and effective.
  • Work with business representatives to execute the data clean-up activity with minimal
disruption to BAU activity.
  • Liaise with other teams in the organization to ensure dependencies and impacts of the
migration are understood, agreed, and planned for.
  • Manage the creation of the tooling (e.g. SQL Server) to execute data transformations
  • Manage the testing of migrated data in Xplan , working with the vendor and in-house test
teams.Key Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of large-scale client data migration in a wealth management context
  • Leadership of analysts and developers to develop automated data transformation
  • Demonstrates leadership. Communicates effectively, both formally and informally.
  • Stakeholder management of Front Office, Operations and Technology representatives
  • Experienced user of JIRA and MS-Project
  • Technical experience of SQL-Server or similar in a data migration context.
Professional Qualifications and Education:
  • Bachelor level Computer Science or similar
  • Good to have Prince 2 or similar
