Data Systems Developer - BankingThe organisation is a major Listed Financial Services Group with offices Worldwide Description Data Systems Developer - BankingThe successful candidate will be responsible for expanding and optimising the London Branch datahub, as well as optimising data flow, collection and reporting for cross functional teams. This includes implementing improvements to existing processes and automating those that are manual in nature.Specific Responsibilities: Develop, test, maintain and supportC# Application software consisting of a web front-end, Windows Services and a, predominantly, SQL Server backend Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements Perform and run daily data download, aggregationand reporting tasks Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements; automating manual processes, optimising data delivery and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability Combine raw information from different sources Explore ways to enhancedata quality and reliability Identify opportunities for data acquisition Documentation, storage and maintenance of all code in line with Group and UK team standards Participate in specific platform enablement projects from time to time, to conduct testing,regression, reconciliation, migration and other data and reporting validation exercises within the London domain. Profile Data Systems Developer - Banking3+ years experience in C# development role in a financial services environment. Extensive knowledge ofdatabase and other programming languages, including: Strong C# .Net development experience Strong Database experience, specifically SQL Server and Oracle A detailed knowledge of the following: G.I.T Advanced Excel and database modelling/programming skillsExposure to financial modelling, financial products or banking Desirable: Octopus/TeamCity experience Knowledge of, or exposure to, Murex or similar trading system Knowledge of, or exposure to, Bank of England taxonomies Business Intelligence solutions suchas OBIEE or PowerBI Job Offer A basic Salary of up to £70,000 Flexible/hybrid working Extensive company benefits
