Job Description

Data Scientist£40,000 - £55,000LondonTHE COMPANY:A globally recognised gambling/ entertainment company is growing out their established data science team. The centralised data science team works across different areas of the business to deliver data solutions to problems and liaise with stakeholders/ management.THE ROLE:The role of Data Scientist involves:

  • Building machine learning algorithms in Python using large data sets to optimise business problems
  • Discuss business problems with stakeholder and think of solutions using statistical modelling and machine learning
  • Building data pipelines to improve processes
  • Researching, developing and optimising machine learning and deep learning algorithms based on cutting edge findings in the field
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and scale solutions
  • YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:A Data Scientist will have the following skills and experience:
  • Educated to degree level or higher in Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, etc
  • Proven genuine interest in the data science and self-development (Kaggle, Github, personal projects)
  • Commercial experience in a Data Science role finding solutions that have business impact/ value
  • Proficiency with Python, SQL
  • Previous exposure to Deep Leaning applied to recommendation systems and computer vision
  • Experience in supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques such as random forests, xgboost, KMeans
  • Previous cloud computing experience (GCP and AWS)
