Job Description

Data Scientist - Investment Banking - £715 (Umbrella) - LondonHarvey Nash are currently supporting the hiring of multiple Data Scientist for a Global Investment Banking organisation.> 9-12 months (initially)> £715 p/day (Umbrella)> London, Canary Wharf(remote until September, then moving to 3 days onsite/ 2 days home workingRequired Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Detailed understanding of Investment banking products such as; Equities, Commodities, Financing desk, Fixed income derivatives, MBS, CBO, CDO, CLO etc
  • Regulatory understanding e.g. CCAR, SR11-7, Basel-II/III, FRTB, BCBS239, SACCR etc.
  • Detailed understanding of financial reports
  • Financial statement analysis (Corporate Income statement, Balance sheet, Cash-flow analysis), and Financial ratios.
  • Detailed understanding of statistic techniques
  • Detailed understanding of Numeraire, Arbitrage, Mean-reversion, Stochastic calculus, Probability theory.
Technical Skills
  • Understanding of various relational databases
  • Logical and physical Data modelling. Data profiling, data cleansing, and data enrichment skills
  • Data visualisation - Experience of building data models and dashboards in PowerBI alternative BI platform (Looker, Qlik, Tableau etc)
  • Languages - Python, R, C++, Java, airflow, databend,
  • Analytics Tools - Alteryx / Knime / SQL / Bloomberg data analytics / Artemis / CXL / Airflow / Databend
Education/ Qualifications
  • Computer Engineering or Masters in Quants
  • PGDBA or MBA in Finance / Charted Accountant / Company Secretary or CPA
  • Data Science / Analyst certification
