Job Description

Leading UK Insurer is looking to hire a Data Scientist to join an established team. The role will focus on applying Data Science and Machine Learning to create insights into Insurance Product that will help drive the strategic direction of the business.Salary: £40,000 -55,000 (Depending on experience) + Bonus + BenefitsLocation: City of LondonData Scientist Role:

  • Develop advanced data science techniques to provide valuable insight and analytical services over diverse large scale data sets.
  • Supports pricing team and wider business
  • Manage end to end data science projects
  • Develop new data products and insights that create actionable outcomes for the business
    • Data Scientist Requirements:
  • Experience building predictive models using a wide variety of tools and techniques (e.g. linear or logistic regression, gradient boosted machines, random forest, regularisation, neural networks)
  • MSc or PhD in computer science, engineering, physics, actuarial science, statistics or maths
  • Experience working with large data sets (e.g. dplyr, pandas, SQL, etc.)
  • Programming experience in Python, R, SAS/WPS, MATLAB
  • Working knowledge of any of the following:PyCharm, RStudio, Visual Studio Code, eclipse
