Job Description

DATA SCIENTIST£500-£600 PER DAY (INSIDE IR35)6 MONTH CONTRACTECOMMERCEHYBRID, 2 DAYS PER WEEK FROM CENTRAL LONDON OFFICEHarnham is partnering with one of Europes leading eCommerce brands who are currently looking for a motivated Data Scientist to join them whilst they work to incorporate a forecasting/predictive analytics project into their BAU.THE COMPANY As one of Europes best-known eCommerce brands the business works across over half a dozen markets. The goal of the business is to connect businesses with customers, and they have grown exponentially over the past 20 years.At the heart of the business is a data-centric culture where they strive to make informed decisions across each department on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.As such theyve been running a project to forecast how changing various levels may impact customer behaviour. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in the success of the project.THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful Data Scientist will be:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and optimisation of a Python model that will be utilised to predict customer behaviour based on changes to customer service, compensation and fraud levers.
  • Delivering insight on "the why" and the meaning behind the change in customer behaviour, painting the bigger picture and supporting on strategy.
  • Dealing with data science requests from stakeholders that want to predict customer behaviour based on various inputs.
  • Support on general insights for customer data
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEYou will need to have the following:
  • Strong Python and SQL
  • Experience working in a cloud environment, ideally AWS
  • A background supporting a marketplace or retailers with customer data science
  • Experience working in fraud beneficial
THE BENEFITSOnce placed a Data Scientist can expect:
  • £500-£600 per day
  • Inside IR35 status
  • 6 month contract (with the opportunity to convert to permanent at the end)
  • Hybrid working 2 days per week in their central London Office.
