Data Science Manager Were currently recruiting for an experienced Data Scientist with good leadership experience to join a leading insurer in its field, managing a small, highly capable team of Data Scientists delivering advanced analytics across a number of workstreams.The role is predominantly remote with around a day a week in their lovely London offices.This role gives the opportunity to;- see a quantifiable positive impact on business objectives including sales/ conversions and retention- manage a team in an environment where autonomy is given to explore and research different models and techniques to offer the best analytical solutions- utilise cutting edge analytical tools- enjoy a relaxed, social and engaged environment - join a team with a great track record in delivering solutions that are driving business results- engage with senior stakeholders to board levelWe are looking for candidates who have;- advanced Data Science skills (particularly predictive modelling/analytics; Machine Learning, Random Forests/ Decision Trees, GBM/ XGBoost, Neural Networks etc.) - managerial/ leadership experience (training & mentoring, peer review of models, quality assurance, 1-21s, appraisals and professional development)- strong technical skills in Python and/or R - good experience deploying models (ideally in a Cloud environment) in a commercial settingPlease apply with your CV or contact Alex Williams at Gerrard White Consulting for more details.
