Peabody have a great opportunity for a Data Quality Lead to join the team based in Westminster. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis in return for a competitive salary of £49,000 - £54,000 per annum.About the Data Quality Lead role:Currently, we are amidst leading a strategy to engrain data into the DNA of the organisation. We are doing this by continuing to build on a data quality strategy that has been quite effective at: raising data literacy, building a stakeholder driven insight and improvement cycle, and implanting efficiency at improving data gathering and use. We make the road by walking, which includes testing the ground before us and turning around to go another way when we find ourselves at a dead end.Responsibilities of our Data Quality Lead include:- Analyse qualitative data using recognised research and analysis methods from DQ information collection- Help build, develop, produce and manage a strategic data quality scorecard, using O365 tools and automation where possible, as required (e.g. monthly) including data insight and analysis- Promote data quality and data quality projects within the organisation- Manage and promote data quality fora, including the data quality sub groups (or a new distance working model)- Produce reports as required for stakeholder groups- Assess and advise on data quality project requirements- Work closely with the data analysts in the Data & Analytics Team to facilitate best practice and communicate improvement with regards to data management and use- Abiding by legal data protection and privacy laws and regulations, and completing DPIA assessments when appropriate- Progress and maintain the Peabody Data Dictionary- Maintain the Corporate Data Quality and Data Governance Information and Guidance in an accessible manner for the entire company- Continue and maintain the directory of data sets, owners and content, updating as required, assisting in defining owner roles and responsibilities and promoting these to data owners and the company generally- Maintain and update the app which delivers data ownership information to the company- Work hand-in-hand with the Data Servicesteam to keep metadata and data dictionary developments coordinatedWhat we’re looking for in our Data Quality Lead:- Have either 1) a masters degree, or 2) a bachelor’s in a research/scientific field (including social sciences) with experience in applied science- Experience of analysing qualitative and quantitative data and are comfortable with both- Understand the connections between business processes/research methods and data quality- Enough experience in business or charitable work that you understand the value of data and the various applications of its use- You can use the terms “algorithm”, “meta data”, “machine learning”, “the cloud” and “missingness” correctly in a sentence- You are keen to learn about- and begin working with machine learning in the data quality sphere- Significant experience (and enjoy) teaching others in various ways (for example: in a formal classroom, or in Meetups®, or as a trainer)- You are comfortable working in the Microsoft PowerPlatform, to include: PowerAutomate, PowerBI, and PowerApps, or in the similar products offered by the other large cloud services providers (Google, AWS)Closing date: 5th Aug 2020If you feel have the skills and experience to become our Data Quality Lead, please click ‘apply’ now to be directed to our careers page and complete your application.
