Job Description

Data Protection Project Officer - 39K - 3-month contractMy client, a renowned membership organisation, with stunning offices in Central London, (all staff here can work from home), seek an immediately available Data Protection Project Officer. This is a 3-month contract role initially, which my client is looking to interview on swiftly.Reporting to Head of Information and Governance, we are looking for someone proactive, with comprehensive experience, who can hit the ground running.Main duties will include.

  • Managing the Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) process from registration to sign-off for all current and pipeline strategic projects
  • Reviewing and developing the DPIA register, procedures, templates, guidance, and staff training
  • Lead on providing information governance (IG) advice, compliance, and guidance
  • Manage, develop, and deliver the DPIA procedures, ways of working and staff training to meet internal policy, regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Provide statistical and qualitative reports to the Head of Information and Governance as and when required
    • The candidate for this role must have the following skills and experience;
  • Educated to degree level
  • Professional qualification in information management, records management, librarianship or equivalent
  • Recognised qualification in Data Protection
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering Data Protection Impact Assessments from receipt to delivery of agreed recommendations and handling rejected recommendations
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering projects
  • Experience of contributing to organisational change
