Data Privacy Consultant – InsuranceMy client is looking for a Compliance/Data Protection Consultant for a 12 month fixed term contract. This person will come with strong regulatory and GDPR knowledge. This position will be responsible for the management and improvement of the data privacy compliance framework in the UK and EU. The role holder will also have oversight and responsibility for the roll-out of the framework to new jurisdictions.Your main responsibilities will be to:- Maintain and enhance the privacy compliance framework and roadmap.- Assess opportunities to enhance the framework in order to continually reduce regulatory risk.- Design and implement changes to the privacy compliance framework in response to regulatory and political change.- Manage internal relationships with key stakeholders.- Work with operating units across multiple jurisdictions (UK, EU, US and South America) to develop and maintain the required compliance policies and procedures related to privacy.- Take responsibly for key elements of the privacy risk and compliance control framework, ensuring periodic review of controls.- Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure privacy requirements, from both a compliance and an IT Security perspective, are properly implemented and maintained.- Support the Operating Units with regular privacy compliance activities – DPIA’s, training, data registers, processing inventories, data retention, third party risk management activities, KRI/KPI reporting and SAR requests.- Provide support to the development of a wider compliance framework for other regulatory requirements across the UK and EU.Minimum Qualifications / Experience:- Regulatory compliance and data privacy experience is essential, minimum 5 years.- Working knowledge of the EU GDPR is essential.- Knowledge of Californian CCPA and Brazil LGPD regulation is very desirable.- Significant experience of working in Insurance (London Market Knowledge is desirable).- Experience in information governance, data protection and implementing regulatory change.- Ability to work across functional areas and lead project activity as required.- Strong project management capabilities.Please apply for further information and a job spec.
