We are looking to hire a Data lead to join our Global Tech team in our London office. The Data lead will play a crucial role in helping our investment team make better investments and managed portfolio companies, by relying on better data pipelines and software.We firmly believe that to excel as a Data Lead in the VC realm, a deep understanding of the entire investment process is paramount. Thats why our data lead will work very closely with our investment team, ensuring collaboration and shared expertise.As a Data Lead, you will build on top and continue to enhance our data architecture, interpreting complex datasets, and build/managed projects to further optimise our deal flow and improve the quality of our diligence. Your expertise will be pivotal in advancingdata-driven processes and bridging the gap between raw data and actionable insights. You will have a high degree of autonomy and play a key role helping data transformation.Responsibilities include:* Build and Manage Data Pipelines: Develop robust data pipelines and employ data quality control measures to ensure the reliability and usefulness of our data assets* Innovate Deal Flow Strategies: Work closely with the Investment team to implement technology & AI-driven methods to enhance the funds deal flow* Project management: Partner with internal IT and external development agencies to deliver quality projects improving the investment teams efficiency* Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead value creation initiatives leveraging data & tech to refine investment processesWhat were looking for:* Track record of academic and professional success. Technical degrees such as computer science, machine learning or mathematics required. * Prior experience in start-ups would be preferred, established tech companies (preferably in R&D or product), able to manage the Data function independently and drive solution across departments* Experience with Python, R, SQL required* Ability to prototype and previous experience with Web development frameworks preferred* Passionate about enterprise technologies and start-ups* Understanding of the venture capital industry is optional but preferred* Collaborative style, high-energy, strong networking skills, and the entrepreneurial spirit to expand the platform of a growing top-tier venture firm* Excellent written and oral communication skills* Ability to work independently, collaboratively and multi-taskRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
