Job Title: Data Governance Lead As a Data Governance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing metadata, data quality metrics, and rules, while facilitating data sharing and access for Transaction Data. This position will require you to define user requirements for the development ofan automated data quality and data access management solution within our Data Lake. You will work closely with our centralized Data Governance Team in the CAO office of Capital Markets, collaborating with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians, and otherTransaction Data stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Transaction Data Governance • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify Critical Data Elements. • Maintain Business Glossary content for Transaction Data Domains in the Data Catalog tool with input from data stakeholders. • Implement transaction data procedures and processes in consultation with governance bodies (Data Governance Working Groups and Data Governance Council). • Manage the centralized data issue log, gathering inputs from business data stewards and ensuring the resolution process progresses. • Oversee the centralized data quality rule repository and coordinate the definition of common data quality rules with input from business and technology data stakeholders. • Coordinate the publication of the Data Quality Dashboard with Authoritative Data Sources. • Document and track Data Custody Agreements between source and destination data sources, collaborating with data stewards and data custodians and seeking approval from data owners. • Manage data access requests for the Data Lake through data access logs and monitoring. • Document user requirements for the development of the Role-Based Access Framework and the automated data access management solution in Databricks. • Contribute to the development of high-quality training and communication materials to promote Data Governance across Capital Markets. Knowledge and Skills • Minimum 6 years of experience in Capital Markets, preferably in roles related to trade booking, matching/confirmation, or reporting. • In-depth understanding of Capital Markets trade and product knowledge in at least one asset class, with the ability to grasp the intricacies of simple and complex deal structures. • Experience in one or more data governance practices, including Metadata, Data Quality, and Data Access Management. • Familiarity with other data management disciplines such as Data Architecture, Data Security, and Reference/Master Data Management. • Proficiency in data governance and management techniques and technology, including Data Catalog, Data Quality, Data Transformation, and Transmission. • Proficient in change management, collaborating effectively with stakeholders across various locations and asset classes. • Capability to analyze and document business processes and requirements in an agile methodology. • Strong attention to detail, a dedicated work ethic, and a commitment to delivering results. • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic and goal-focused teams. • Quick adaptability to new processes and systems. • Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills. • Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment. • Experience with change management and organizational tools, including JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence. • Foundational technical skills, including beginner/intermediate level proficiency in SQL, XML, BI tools, Python, etc. • Comfortable working with existing and new technology and software applications. • Previous experience with Microsoft Purview (or similar data catalog tools), any Data Quality Tool, and Databricks (or similar cloud-based data engineering tools) is an asset.
