Job Description

Data Engineer - GCP / PythonLocation: Remote - maybe some occasional travel to London officeDetermination: Inside IR35Rate: £550 - £650 p/dayKey Skills

  • 4+ years of experience building data solutions.
  • 1+ years experience building solutions in a Cloud environment, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience building production-ready analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of different database technologies including relational databases, No SQL, OLTP, and OLAP
  • Strong programming experience in both Python and SQL, bonus points for JS
  • Experience building scalable and highly-performant code.
  • Experience in producing tested, resilient, and well documented applications, including good knowledge of DevOps concepts such as CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring and alerting
  • Experience in architecting, building, maintaining and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills; a team player and keen learner who loves building great things together
  • Proven background in a team leadership role would be beneficial, but if youre looking for that next step and have the right characteristics for a lead role, wed be happy to talk with you!
Nice to have:
  • Experience building scalable REST APIs using Python or similar technologies
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
  • DBT/Airflow experience not essential
  • Basic knowledge of and ideally some experience with data science topics like machine learning, data mining, statistics, and visualisation
