An Internaional Insurance business is seeking to hire its first Data Architect. The business has initiated a new phase on how it looks at Data, its is about to implement 4 new operating models and is seeking a Data Architect to help build a Data Warehouse, Advise at moving from on-prem to Cloud and over see downstream Data.This is an exciting role that will involve stragiesing and advising senior management in how it approaches its Data. It is a position that the indvidual will be able to scope in their own image.Data Architect Role:- Design data models and metadata systems- Provide oversight other data architects todesign data models and support the management of data dictionaries- Work with technical architects toensure the organisation’s systems are designed in accordance with the appropriate data architecture- Developthe enterprise wide data strategy- Be a key stakeholder and advisor in all new strategic data initiatives- Build a framework of principles to ensure data integrity- Be an advocate of data security principlesData Architect requirements- Experience in architecting and implementing Business Intelligence and Data warehouse platforms, Master data Management, data integration and OLTP database solutions.- Strong knowledge of industry best practices around data architecture in both cloud based and on prem solutions.- Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential, enabling easy interpretation and analysis of large volumes of data.- A comprehensive understanding of the principles of and best practices behind data engineering, and the supporting technologies such as RDBMS, NoSQL, Cache & In-memory stores.- Experience of architecting data solution across hybrid (cloud, on premise) data platforms.- A comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation (extract, transform and load) processes and the supporting technologies such as Amazon Glue, EMR, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, other analytics products- Experience implementing data solutionsFor more information, please apply to this advert.
