Job Description

Role: Data ArchitectLocation: LondonInitial 6m ContractDaily Rate: CompetitiveEssential : Key Skills and Experience:

  • Expert in data architecture for enterprise data warehousing, including data consumption and provisioning, operational data stores and data mart design for both OLTP and OLAP models
  • Industry experience: Insurance - Essential
  • Exposure to integration data modelling against conformed / canonical enterprise data models
  • Experience of designing data solutions using Relational, dimensional and NoSQL database technologies
  • Understanding and application of Azure Data platforms in design for enterprise data warehouses and operational data stores
  • Experience performing data analysis/design across collaborative multi-user workflows with integrated vendor platforms
  • Experience with designing data management, ETL/ELT and warehousing solutions (Microsoft SQL stack preferred)
  • Working collaboratively across Internal and Vendor architecture and design teams to elicit, refine and validate data and integration architectures
  • Ability to analyse data workflows against business requirements in order to prioritise and design an implementation approach
  • Ability to construct, communicate and agree data model/ definitions with key stakeholders across business functions
  • Ability to design Target Operating Models
  • Ability to facilitate UAT and formulate user documentation and business transition activities
  • Working with Internal, Vendor and on/off shore delivery partners.
    • Desirable:
  • Lloyds of London and Reinsurance experience
  • Experience of data modelling of Insurance Policy Admin, Exposure Management, and Portfolio and Reporting and in Pre/Post Bind underwriting related activities.
  • Experience of data augmentation and enhancement workflows
  • Experience with building data management of actuarial or catastrophe model statistical output
  • Experience of InfoSphere
  • Wider knowledge and/or experience of Underwriting Exposure Capture, Modelling and Pricing tools and solutions.
  • Experience/ knowledge of data governance and management models and regulatory compliance
    • Additional Requirements :
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
