Job Description

Are you passionate about data, analytics, and the power of insights We are seeking a dynamic Analytics and Data Science Lead to join a newly formed European Data & Analytics Office and lead a talented team that supports our award-winning retail businessesacross the UK and EMEA. As a key member of the leadership team, reporting to our Head of Data & Analytics, this role presents a unique opportunity to drive the growth and development of this division. You will be instrumental in harnessing the potential ofdata, advancing analytics, and technology within their fastest-growing business line.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the D2C Analytics team, bridging the gap between our business and technology functions
  • Utilize your expertise in SQL and advanced analytics methods to deliver actionable insights
  • Manage and develop a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
  • Leverage our cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS) and analytical tools to accelerate data adoption
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers and other business teams
  • Promote data standards and best practices
  • Proactively manage risks and champion innovation
Core Technical Competencies:
  • Expertise in SQL and business-facing analytics
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and experience using Python or R for large-scale analyses
  • Familiarity with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, PowerBi, Looker, etc.)
  • Experience with big data frameworks and AB testing
  • Advantageous: AWS experience (Athena, SageMaker, GlueETL), Web Analytics (Adobe Analytics
Desired Competencies/Characteristics:
  • Ability to translate business challenges into data/analytics briefs and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record in managing and developing technical employees
  • Hands-on experience with large data sets in a business context
  • Advocate for innovation and continuous improvement
