Job Description

Lloyd’s is where you can bring your future to life.The Lloyd’s Delegated Authorities (DA) Programme aims to improve the experience and efficiency of conducting delegated authority business within the Lloyd’s market. Key improvements are being delivered through implementation of new technology, standards, and streamlined processes. Currently, the DA Programme is developing and integrating three solutions: Delegated Contract Manager, Delegated Oversight Manager, and Delegated Data Manager.The Role This role will initially focus on developing and delivering virtual/remote instructor-led training modules to support technology solutions that will be adopted improved by the Lloyd’s marketplace in 2021 to support all Lloyd’s delegated authority business. The role will also involve supporting the delivery of self-service training materials through collaboration with other training developers - to ensure a joined-up and high quality training experience for system end-users. As part of a wider training team, the role will make an important contribution to supporting training strategy, design and delivery for other projects.Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with other Training Developers/Managers, plan, design and deliver virtual/remote instructor-led and self-service training content that can be delivered directly by Lloyd’s or be cascaded within market firms, with a focus on embedding sustainable training capability.
  • Work with subject matter experts and market representatives to refine storyboards, scripts and facilitation approaches for virtual/remote instructor-led training, and support the design and delivery of self-service training materials.
  • Follow an agreed governance framework to ensure content is reviewed and signed off by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with change managers to devise virtual/remote instructor-led training schedules, registration and communication approaches.
  • Design assessments to evaluate training requirements and training effectiveness.
  • Skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to adopt an appropriate tone and approach when dealing with high profile external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage the complexity of providing virtual/remote instructor-led and self-service training solutions for multiple projects for multiple market firms at the same time.
  • Highly organized, with excellent scheduling and time management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to understand technical solutions to build appropriate and effective training experiences and materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other training developers/managers, change managers, communications managers, project managers, PMO resources and market firm representatives.
  • Ability to quickly assess market firm training capabilities based on discussions with market firm representatives and target end-users.
  • Ability to ensure continuous improvement of training approach - using skills to design effective training feedback methods, and using feedback to inform continuous improvement of training.
  • Knowledge
  • Understanding of the Insurance industry (an understanding of the London Insurance Market would be a key advantage) and in particular, Lloyd’s delegated authority business.
  • Understanding of translating technical solutions into training material that helps users understand and successfully navigate new ways of working.
  • Experience
  • Extensive experience in the design and delivery of instructor-led training, delivered virtually/remotely using video conferencing software such as WebEx and Microsoft Teams.
  • Extensive experience in the design and delivery of engaging self-service training content using a number of digital/online/e-learning platforms such as Adobe Captivate and Camtasia, etc.
  • Experience in designing and delivering training content to support the implementation of new technology platforms in a large corporate environment with a varied and geographically diverse user base.
  • Experience in developing instructor-led and self-service training material within an agile project environment.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivery with evidence of successful implementation of virtual/remote instructor-led and self-service training solutions.
