Job Description

Cyber Security Analyst (SOC)My client is looking to hire a cyber security analyst (SOC) to join their IT security team. This individual will help secure and protect the companys infrastructure and systems, data, networks from any threats and malicious attacks. This role is a hands ontechnical role coupled with information security experience.Experience

  • Experience of common security tools such as SIEM, AV, WAF, IDS, Packet Analyzer and Endpoint Detection & Response tools.
  • Any experience with SIEM tools such as IBM Qradar, Splunk, etc.
  • Network intrusion, packet capture, IPS / IDS
  • Endpoint technology - support and implementation
  • Email security - supporting and implementation
  • Knowledge of, and ability to map against, MITRE Attack and D3fend. Anticipate security alerts, incidents, and disasters and reduce their likelihood
  • Any cloud security experience within a windows environment, Azure security
  • Experience with Vulnerability management and the use of these tools and IAM (identity access management)
  • Experience in relevant areas, such as incident response, intrusion analysis, malware analysis, web application security.
  • Any experience with threat modelling
  • Any experience with automation / scripting
  • Knowledge and experience of security and risk management methodologies, frameworks and standards, such the NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO27001, ISO31000, ITIL, OWASP and MITRE Attack framework
  • The ability to analyse, report and prevent cyber breaches
  • Documentation and managing stakeholders
  • Any relevant security-related certifications a plus : CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCED, GCFA, CySA+.
You do not need to have all the experience above and you may be stronger in some areas then others.The salary on offer is between £55,000 - £70,000 plus other benefits.
