Job Description

Our client launched in 1997. They travel extensively around the world to source products that are original in design, beautifully crafted and a little different from what you usually see. They tend to work with artisans, co-operatives from Africa to Asia, designers that have just come out of college and any kind of creative people that just make beautiful things!A typical day would be:

  • Checking messages on phone, email, social media and respond to daily queries / comments efficiently and politely.
  • Help answer phones/process orders from customers throughout the day.
  • General admin, dealing with couriers and suppliers.
  • Liaise with our PR agencies and update social media daily i.e. facebook, twitter, instastram, pinterest. Suggest content, come up with ideas and stories to keep content varied and interesting.
  • Help update the web site with new content/images.
  • Write brief product captions.
  • Liaise with our press department and organise press loans for magazines.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director and MD, organising new samples/products for the next collection.
  • Help organise photoshoots / find locations
  • Project management
  • The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications:
  • Positive, bright, helpful, creative, a good eye for design and above all hands on.
  • Highly organised, able to handle work under pressure
  • Computer & image skilled, commercially minded.
  • Extremely eloquent in both writing and on the phone.
  • Diplomatic with a strong problem solving ability
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional telephone manner
  • Eager to learn, interested in all aspects of running an ecommerce business.
  • You need to be able to learn fast and work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task is a must
