Job Description

I am working with a large well known and respected multinational bank, and they are looking for an Customer Service Operations specialist to join their team.This role would be perfect for someone with a background in settlement operations / Client services and has knowledge working with Domestic and International payments systems.Also someone who is looking to further develop their career in a dynamic multinational Bank.Some of the key responsibilities are as follows,

  • Ensure all investigations are actioned within 24 hours ensuring both internal and external customers are kept appraised.
  • Daily management of the Messaging database, ensuring all incoming SWIFT messages are allocated to the relevant teams upon receipt.
  • Ensure all SEPA Direct Debits are processed in accordance with industry deadlines.
  • Daily processing of BACS related products, ensuring exception reports are sent to customers in a timely manner, Recalls and Unpaid items are executed within industry cut offs.
  • Ensure all manual payments are confirmed with authorised persons and transferred to processing sections for settlement.
  • Daily processing of Standing Orders, ensuring new, amendment and cancellation requests are actioned in a timely manner
Our client would like candidates to have good knowledge of;
  • Good knowledge of Commercial payments, CHAPS, BACS, SWIFT, SEPA DD and SEPA Payments.
  • Good knowledge of Retail banking products such as Cheques, Giros, Standing Orders, Direct Debits
  • Good knowledge of payment related investigations, ability to think outside the box and apply risk based logic to situations as they arise in order to achieve timely resolution
