Job Description

Citi is uniquely positioned by way of our global capabilities and geographic reach to deliver this. Citi is widely considered to be the market leader in Cross-border flows due to its ability to effect payments in over 140 currencies, itsin-country presence in nearly 100 countries coupled with its strong regional solution sets. At its core, Citi intends to continue to reinvent itself in this space, serving a very large portfolio of clients with globally significant flows, by increasing digitizationand easing the complexities associated with these flows. This is a dynamic senior business leadership role requiring the individual to display an excellent understanding of client experience needs, perform continuous market scans, drive innovation and work across multiple Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) productgroups and geographies. Our product managers work collaboratively to piece together coherent and well-integrated solutions, while at the same time evaluating and engaging various internal and external partners to augment TTSs core product offerings that deliverglobal value for our customers. Cross-border Payments is a key strength and differentiator for Citi, given the significant depth of the branch network and years of operating experience, many of them exceeding 100+ years. The depth of local operations coupled with years of experience dealingwith regulators and multiple market participants, FMI and other network partners makes Citis Cross-border business market leading and amongst the largest in the industry. It is one of Citis Treasury and Trade Service (TTS) most important business lines. The business operates very closely with the domestic franchise as well as in perfect harmony with Citis market leading Foreign Exchange Business. The Cross-border Payments and Receivables business intermediates and processes flows generated by Corporates,Banks, Financial Institutions and Governments. Our Cross-border Payments and Receivables business is comprised of our globally centralised WorldLink payments business and our in-country Cross-border Funds Transfer (CBFT) product. This role will be responsiblefor manging, developing, and commercializing the core underlying infrastructure and capabilities of our in-country capabilities that enable our Cross-border Funds Transfer product across the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region (50+ countries) and drivingthe commercialisation of our WorldLink product in the EMEA region. This role will work hand-in-hand with the global Cross-border Payments and Receivables Product team and FX Business to ensure that our Cross-border Payments Product remains the market leader. Key Responsibilities: Cross-Border Payments and Receivables - Cross-border Payments and Receivables Head EMEA Business Management and Product Development

  • Core objective of this role is to develop, rollout and commercialise robust and innovative cross-border payment solutions in EMEA, in line with global product projects and initiatives, to enable our clients to optimize their FX payments, and grow Citistransactional FX and fee revenues.
  • Responsible for evolving the front-to-back Operating Model across the entire EMEA region, working with key partners including, FX business, Liquidity, Treasury, Risk, Operations & Technology, to ensure it is an enabler for accelerated growth.
  • Responsible for Delivering the Network for CBFT through the setting of and ensuring adherence to elevated standards of payment execution - both across the Citi Network and Third-Party Agent Banks.
  • Responsible for driving both our in-country CBFT product proposition and our WorldLink Factory proposition in the 50+ countries in EMEA in which we offer cross-border payment services. This includes digitization of FX related processes through the documentationdigitization program
  • Responsible for ensuring best-in-class on-boarding, FX pricing governance and capability visibility across the network.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Operational Resilience of the CBFT product in EMEA.
  • Continue to expand Citis next generation of Cross-border payments offerings including new feature functionality not just around efficient payment execution but also digitization of client interfaces as well as the backend, strong service and implementationfocus, and overall enhanced client experience delivered in lockstep with the global product team.
  • Drive the next generation of Platform roll-out that will be instrumental to next wave of CBFT and WorldLink success, including playing a leading role for ISO 20022 rollout and commercialisation in the region.
  • Lead the delivery of Product P&L (Revenue, Expense, Net Income Plan and Operating Efficiency) for the Cross-border business in EMEA.
  • Understand and anticipate evolving client needs across EMEA, ensuring our cross-border payments roadmap delivers continuous and commercially relevant innovation in deep partnership with global product.
  • Work seamlessly with the Regional eFX team to ensure appropriate transactional FX payment capabilities are developed, rolled out and commercialized
  • Working with Sales, win Marquee Cross-border Payments mandates to create a recurring stream of new revenues while at the same time protecting and growing the existing very significant revenue and client book.
  • Initiate and drive transformational initiatives to optimize resources and operating model to visibility enhance product financials and profitability
  • Analyse product profitability, competition and positioning in the market and proactively drive initiatives to maintain Citis leadership position
  • Attract talent and manage the EMEA Cross-border Payments product team. Develop the EMEA teams industry knowledge and create a high performing team through strong leadership skills and practices.
  • Strong Risk and Compliance focus to ensure robust front-to-back governance of Cross-border Payments Risk and associated controls in EMEA.
  • Actively engage with global, regional and in country product teams to ensure alignment across the cross-border payments and receivables business.
