Job Description

Signature Recruitment have an excellent opportunity to join our client, a prestigious London University, as a Course Administrator on a full time, permanent basis! This role will suit someone who is a motivated administrator, with excellent communication and organisational skills.The successful candidate will provide a high level of administrative support to the faculty and students and will contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Masters programmes. Please read on if this sounds like something of interest to you!Course Administrator Main Responsibilities:MSc and MRes/PhD Programme Administration

  • Service the relevant Staff/Student Liaison Committee Meetings.
  • Oversee and organise all student Advisor meeting schedules and records.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of the relevant programmes in order to deal with a range of queries from current students.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects such as student yearbooks, cohort profiles and handbooks.
  • Organising the Postgraduate Research Assessment and Review Committees
  • Organising the relevant Staff/Student Liaison Committee Meetings.
  • Be responsible for overseeing the scheduling of the weekly PhD research seminars
  • Ensure the smooth running of PhD student events
  • Course and Faculty Support
  • Prepare relevant course materials; arrange and co-ordinate timely copying and distribution of these materials, obtain copyright permission for course packs, locating copies of articles and books, and compiling these into course packs.
  • Update and maintain Moodle pages for relevant courses.
  • Support the preparation of examination papers, organisation of marking schedules, collection of exam marks and other aspects of the examination process.
  • Facilitate communication between students and faculty, including providing information on changes in lectures, classes, staff office hours, dates of meetings and other general matters.
  • Update and maintain relevant academic staff web pages on the Department’s website.
  • Timetabling Support.
  • Liaise with the School’s Timetabling Team to implement changes where needed and ensure effective communication of any changes to students.
  • Be responsible for the class group allocation system for multiple courses.
  • Course Administrator Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Data management skills
  • Adaptable with the ability to manage a varied work load
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Educated to degree level (2:1 and above)
