Council Tax / Revenues & Benefits OfficerLewisham - Hyrbid £23.75 Per Hour We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Council Tax/Revenues and Benefits Officer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial well-being of our community by managing council tax accounts, processing benefitsclaims, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.Key Responsibilities:Manage council tax accounts, including billing, collection, and enforcement processes. Process applications for housing benefits, council tax reduction, and other financial support schemes. Conduct eligibility assessments and reviews to determine entitlementto benefits.Provide accurate advice and support to residents regarding council tax and benefits queries.Provide accurate advice and support to residents regarding council tax and benefits queries.Collaborate with other departments and agencies to resolve complex cases and ensure efficient service delivery. Maintain accurate records and databases in accordancewith data protection regulations.Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to council tax and benefits administration. Keep abreast of changes in legislation and best practices within the field of local taxation and benefits.Must have experience of working in a revenues environment.Excellent Council Tax knowledge of council tax administration - billing, discounts & exemption and recovery.
