Job Description

Cost Modeller - Bristol, Hampshire, or London - Permanent - £45,000 - £60,000 per annum - Willing to undergo SC ClearanceAre you a Cost Consultant and looking to join an award-winning consultancy companyThe clintis loking for a cost consultant to lead teams and carry out cost, schedule, and risk analysis to create and recommend solutions for customers. The projects they work on vary from niche consultancy through to large, high-profile programmes.This is a hybrid position and may require some travel to external client sites when requiredA summary of the key responsibilities of a Cost Modeller:

  • Lead teams that use qualitative and quantitative methods to analyse, model and recommend solutions to customers
  • Work with clients to define and clarify requirements
  • Modell whole life costs
  • Carry out cost, schedule, and risk analysis
  • Liaise with colleagues to determine cost effectiveness of investment options
  • Generate reports and present to stakeholders
Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Cost Modeller role, however you will not be expected to have everything:
  • Experience of collecting, collating, and interpreting cost data from previous projects, supplier estimates, internal experts and published sources.
  • Familiarity and confidence in using spreadsheets to create basic and complex cost estimating models.
  • Knowledge of using Risk to undertake stochastic modelling.
  • A good understanding of the principles, guidelines and methods used in the cost analysis of equipment, systems and capabilities.
  • Experience of analysing cost data and providing support to business cases.
  • A track record of effective liaison with clients and stakeholders.
  • The ability to deliver clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • The ability to lead small teams and work as part of a team in a working environment where there can be frequent change, uncertainty and ambiguity.
