About Carlsquare: Carlsquare is an independent, partner-run investment bank. We advise our clients (businesses, shareholders and private equity investors) on corporate finance and M&A. Carlsquare has offices across Europe, with 80 employees located in London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Munich, and Stockholm. In 2020 the firm advised on 36 transactions ranging in value from c. €20m - €1Bn.The role and responsibilities: You will be working in direct contact with our clients and senior professionals, supporting and/ or leading execution on complex corporate finance projects. Key responsibilities include: Production of pitches, teasers and investment memoranda Production of integrated financial models, financial analysis and business valuations (DCF, Trading and Transaction comparables) Production of sector, business and capital market analyses as well as business profiles Due diligence management (set-up of virtual data rooms, Q+A) Independent commercial research tasks involving businesses, markets, potential investors and targets Production of studies and analyses on our focus sectors Participation in our internal training programmeYour profile: 0.5 - 3 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking/ corporate finance/ M&A/ transaction services. You may be working at a boutique M&A firm looking for a change, or a large accountancy firm in M&A/ transaction services, or be a new grad with several relevant internships In-depth knowledge in valuation, financial reporting and modelling Excellent analytical, conceptual and communication skills as well as a great attitude Both English and German spoken and written at native level (our day to day language is English, and we lead deals across Europe, with a particularly strong exposure to Germany) A power user of Excel and PowerPoint University degree in economics, commerce, finance or accounting (or a similar discipline) from a top institution, with excellent academic performance Work eligibility in the UK a plus, though we can sponsor the right applicant ACA or other financial qualification is a plusWe offer: Strong deal flow (36 deals completed across the firm last year), meaningful career development and the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, while executing projects working alongside an excellent group of Analysts and senior professionals The opportunity to participate in our global secondment programme at Carlsquare (or our Globalscope partner offices) Excellent career opportunities in an internationally active M&A advisory firm with a great culture
