Corporate Event Planner - Maternity Cover

Job Description

We are looking for an Event Planner to work as part of our busy Events & Experience team, which falls within SEIs Global Marketing Competency. Corporate Event Planner, Corporate Services, London (hybrid working) :SEI is seeking to hire a Corporate Event Planner for a 12 month Maternity contract role. Responsible for the strategic planning, coordination and execution of SEI sponsored marketing events, including conferences, investment seminars, client entertainment eventsand internal events. What you will do:

• Coordination and assistance of both internal and external client events.
• Be the first point of contact for all internal events - attending and chairing event briefings, managing internal relationships and ensuring communications are clear, concise and within brand guidelines.
• Follow the event cycle processes - maintain and regularly update the internal events calendar to ensure constant cross-communication between event stakeholders, mitigating any event clash.
• Budget management - Updating the internal stakeholder from initial event concept to final reconciliation.
• Closely work with the onsite hospitality vendor with day-to-day hospitality requirements.
• Supporting the Senior Manager UK Events with events administration as well as ad hoc tasks and projects.
• Assist with client and prospect visits in conjunction with Concierge team.

What we need from you:

• A minimum of ideally 2-3 years of event planning and execution experience.
• Ability to use initiative to come up with solutions to potential problems; displaying common sense and resourcefulness.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be credible when dealing with senior personnel
• Proven experience handling and delivering multiple tasks and projects within tight delivery schedules.
• A high degree of flexibility when required to working hours. Events can occur outside of core office hours

What we would like from you:

• Experience with planning and execution of virtual events or managing onsite meeting rooms would be advantageous although not essential.
• Proficient IT skills - all Microsoft Office products and be able to pick up other systems/databases easily.
• Strong background in customer service with practiced written and verbal communication skills.
