Job Description

Core Network Engineer - CCIEUltimate role for a Senior Network Engineer with THE leader in their field; network aggregation and provision of some of the highest quality data connectivity services in the UK.The role at this cutting edge and multi-award winning business will be as rewarding as it is challenging, offering a defined progression path to see you rapidly upskill in the most "in-demand" areas of IP networking today.Within this role, youll take responsibility for the provision of technical support in relation to complex support tickets, while assisting senior members of the network team in maintaining the businesses extensive core network.The role will also involve implementation and tech project management of solutions, advanced config of routers and switches, running service simulations, the provisioning of new services onto the core network, deploying and maintaining monitoring platforms and, of course, documentation of solutions!Experience Required:

  • Experience of network services in an MPLS service provider.
  • Understanding routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, L3VPN, L2VPN or VPLS.
  • Cisco qualifications (or equivalent experience). Ideally your knowledge will be equivalent to CCIE level.
  • Experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls.
  • Ideally experience with CWDM / DWDM technologies.
  • Deployment and management of network monitoring systems (e.g. Zabbix, Solarwinds or Nagios )
  • Ideally you will also have experience working on a Service Provider core network.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), a must.
