Job Description

Core Java EngineerSalary: £90,000 - £120,000 Fully Remote (UK)GreenTechIf you enjoy building state of the art, data centric, low latency, highly concurrent systems, then this will tick all of the boxes.Were working with an exciting Green-Tech business who are rapidly growing. Theyre on the hunt for Core Java developers who have a passion around building highly concurrent systems and have performance at the forefront of their mind.Youll be working across two product lines:1) Building an energy provider business, they currently have 10,000 customers which is set to rise to over 100,000 customers by the end of 20242) Working on their SaaS platform which is being used by energy suppliers across the UKAs a Senior Core Java Developer, you will assume the following responsibilities:

  • Building real-time, highly distributed systems with a strong emphasis on performance and concurrency across multiple Greenfield projects.
  • Working with cutting-edge technology stacks, including Java 17/19, Microservices, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and remaining receptive to adopting emerging technologies.
  • Designing and developing bespoke frameworks. Notably, the team is presently engaged in constructing their very own database and frameworks.
  • Collaborating with a passionate and innovative team, where your ideas will be given the freedom to flourish, as you work collectively towards creating something truly exceptional.
To thrive in this role as a Senior Core Java Developer, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • A deep understanding and extensive experience in working with Core Java, Multithreaded Code, and Highly Concurrent and Distributed Systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building systems from the ground up, exhibiting a comprehensive understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle and taking ownership of it all.
