Job Description

An electronics company that are developing their next generation of product are in need of a Senior FPGA Engineer. Their innovative technology will create a new wave of applications. The technology is particularly unique, as most devices in this area areinvasive, these products will be non-invasive and affordable compared to high industry costs. These devices will be portable and eventually wearable. The company is backed by recognised high profile investors. This is an exciting time to join a fast growingcompany.Your role will be to lead the FPGA design, look at the FPGA firmware and integrate the FPGA feasibility build. Having experience in schematic entries, analogue boards and connector boards would be useful. You will report into the Engineering Manager, whowill get you everything you need, and there will be embedded software engineers to work with as well as some junior electronics/FPGA engineers. You will be supported but there is an expectation to work autonomously as well.Key skills required:

  • 5 years + relevant hands on experience in FPGA design
  • Understanding clock domain crossing techniques
  • High speed protocols, e.g. JESD204B
  • Xilinx, most beneficial
  • Digital design
The start date is flexible around when you can join, ideally start of May or as early you require, equally the manager is happy to wait until the right person is available if that is your case. We are looking to conduct interviews immediately. The initialcontract length is 6 months with opportunities to extend. The role is based in central London and there will be an expectation to be onsite 3 days per week, hybrid working is acceptable.
