Job Description

Compositing Pipeline Technical Director - £60,000 - £70,000 - London (Hybrid)This client is an award-winning creative studio, who are looking for a Compositing Pipeline Technical Director to be responsible for the design, implementation and management of tools that assist artists with their daily use of third-party and in-house softwareand systems.Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Nuke/ Foundry software
  • Experience of creating GUIs with PySide/PyQT
  • Proficient in Python libraries and frameworks used in VFX- (OpenEXR, ACEScg, OpenColorIO, image encoding, ffmpeg)
  • Previous experience building and maintaining pipeline software used in the core of a production environment.
  • Ability to communicate with both editorial and production teams clearly outlining and implementing processes.
  • Ability to work closely with digital artists and pipeline team to fulfil requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload and meet project deadlines
  • A track record of problem solving
  • Experience of driving process change
Nice to have:
  • Experience of modern programming practices
  • Knowledge of Universal Scene Description (USD)
  • C++
  • Nuke Developer Kit (NDK)
  • Experience using Maya, Houdini, Deadline
  • RV plug-in development
  • Knowledge of tracking applications
  • Git
