Payments Compliance Officer in London within a growing Bank. Working within Product compliance team that has responsibility for compliance support to Product Owners, System Owners and other operational areas that deal with banking products and services. Expereince with the below is essential for this position PSD, SEPA, Cross Border regulations UK and EU Industry bodies and regulators i.e. Pay.UK, Open Banking, Payment Systems Regulator A good understanding of card scheme, other payment scheme requirements and issuers, acquirers, merchants Responsibilities: A primary focus is to obtain and maintain detailed knowledge of appropriate legislation, regulations and guidance published by UK, EU and other regulatory bodies relating to payments related products for individual and corporate customers. The role holder will undertake regulatory horizon scanning and provide analysis and interpretation of all manner of payment requirements to assist key stakeholders in complying with appropriate regulations. A key responsibility is to work with the project office and appropriate business units to implement regulatory change, product enhancements and remediation projects as required. Providing support and guidance to all areas of the business connected to payments as well as providing ongoing oversight of risk mitigation undertaken by the relevant business units. Aid in the completion of the approved annual compliance monitoring plan to assist the business to manage identified and emerging risks. Responsibilities will include creation of reports for management and the board, analysis of reports, assist in the development, maintenance and reporting on the thematic monitoring plan The successful applicant will have an ability to work proactively, showing initiative with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidate requirments: A sound knowledge of payments related regulations both in the UK and EEA. Conduct Rules and the ability to interpret regulations within a business context. Experience of implementing Payment change i.e. PSD, SEPA, and Cross Border regulations. Familiar with UK and EU Industry bodies and regulators i.e. Pay.UK, Open Banking, Payment Systems Regulator A good understanding of card scheme, other payment scheme requirements and issuers, acquirers, merchants and networks. Knowledge and understanding of Payment systems would be an advantage. Support the business on submission of annual attestations and certifications, consolidating, challenging responses and provide assurance and assist in effective governance. Knowledge and understanding of other individual and corporate banking products, including their functionality would be an advantage.
