Tiffeny feels heardand that’s because we know how important it is to listen.The Role:As a Compliance Officer you can make your own powerful contribution to Westminster’s success. Working as a key member of our Compliance team to ensure all buildings within the portfolio are compliant with legal obligations and operational PPMs, you’ll alsocheck that relevant certification for fire, water, gas, LOLER, electrics and asbestos are in place, and that any works requested are undertaken. Supporting the delivery of monthly statutory compliance KPIs, and inputting data into corporate IT systems includingCPM and Shine, we’ll also expect you to prepare performance reports for the Technical Assurance Lead and other Managers.Liaising with a number of contractors to obtain quality data from their systems and with the corporate health and safety team to ensure consistency of practice across the council, you’ll assist with audits to check whether buildings are compliant throughoutWestminster. We’ll also expect you to coordinate risk assessment actions to ensure the timely closure of remedial works, ensure that contractor PPMs are undertaken and monitored to completion, and the necessary certification is applied.You’ll have a wide range of additional responsibilities – these include ensuring that the Council’s investment properties are compliant, and our data system has up-to-date certificates and other evidence stored correctly. You’ll also report any non-complianceissues to the appropriate managers, work with contractors on site regarding compliance and health and safety matters, visit and inspect buildings when required, and assist with the creation of an open-performance driven culture.About You:Dynamic, professional, customer focused and with a background in health and safety and compliance, you’ll be ready to identify issues and come up solutions. A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and the confidence to suggest waysin which we can improve the way we work, you’ll possess proven experience of managing statutory and PPM compliance and managing certification for gas, electric, asbestos, fire, LOLER and water and PPMs.We’ll expect you to be capable of managing remedial works to completion, and you should have well developed experience of using IT systems for data management monitoring and reporting. Ready to work on site with contractors and other stakeholders, you’llalso have the ability to analyse relevant information and data, prepare reports and assist with compliance audits.A collaborative and motivating team worker but also capable of working independently, you’ll possess superb stakeholder management skills. With the ability to organise your workload and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, you’ll have outstanding writingand attention to detail skills and be capable of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues. In addition, a relevant qualification relating to compliance in health and safety (or working towards this) would be desirable.What We Offer:Westminster is an amazing place.
