Job Description

Bovill is a global financial services regulatory consultancy with offices in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Americas. We work with clients internationally on every element of regulation. We help firms build projects to respond to significant regulatorychange or give them peace of mind they’re doing the right thing.Our Funds practice is growing and is looking for experienced compliance associate to join the team. This role is multifaceted encompassing compliance monitoring, supporting CONNECT applications, and participating in policy updates for our clients withinthe Funds and Asset Management sector.The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our successful Funds practice, contributing to client support, engaging in marketing and business development efforts, conducting technical research, generating technical materials, and actively participatingin the overall development and expansion of Bovill.This position is particularly suited to individuals with a regulatory compliance background seeking a diverse role with a strong emphasis on client delivery.The areas in which the Associate is expected to assist clients includes but is not limited to:

  • Assisting with advice and support on a variety of regulatory compliance matters including prudential obligations such as Annex IV reporting, COREP and MIFIDPRU reporting, and internal capital adequacy and risk assessments (ICARAs)
  • Aiding with the preparation and review of AIFMD Annex 4 returns
  • RegData reporting
  • Financial modelling for new firm authorisations
  • Wind-down plan calculations
  • Assisting with prudential reviews of firms’ risk management frameworks
  • Drafting and maintaining policies, procedures, and other compliance monitoring programmes
  • Assisting with regulatory matters including authorisation applications and variations of permission
  • Carrying out compliance health checks and periodic monitoring
  • Arranging and helping to prepare for client meetings
  • Responding to ad-hoc and routine regulatory queries
The role also provides opportunities to attend relevant industry events to expand your professional network and promote the Bovill brand. Additionally, participation in and potential facilitation of Bovill events, roundtable discussions, and training sessionson topical regulatory issues are encouraged.Successful applicants should have:
  • Compliance experience from a financial institution, legal practice, consultancy, and/or regulatory background
  • A degree-level education
  • A solid understanding of FCA rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of and experience in UK Annex IV reporting
  • European Annex IV reporting experience and filing to Luxembourg, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, and Belgium would be advantageous.
  • A passion for problem-solving and a keen interest in learning how to manage relationships with clients and the wider team.
