City of Portsmouth College has been formed by the merger of Portsmouth Collegeand Highbury College and was formally constituted on 1 August 2021. The newly formed College will give students of all ages even greater flexibility with their programmes andaccess to dedicated subject facilities at the different campus locations. Some of the main roles and responsibilities for this position are: To teach on a range of programmes,including Level 2 Childcare for Adults providing high quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students and groups in line with the Colleges strategic priorities and objectives. To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closelyplan, monitor, track and record student retention, achievement and success To contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, relevant curriculum and programmes To act as a Programme Leader for designated programmes To provide academic and pastoralsupport for identified groups of students The role requires an individual who has well developed organisational, communication and team working skills. They must also be able to meet targets and deadlines. The role is for 7.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per yearbased at our Highbury Campus. For this position we require the candidate to have the following: You will need to be qualified in teaching adults Experience ofworking inthe Childcare sector Be flexible and self-motivated with a dedication to student achievementand quality.
