Job Description

Marketing & Communications OverviewThe Communications and Positioning team is a centralised team operating in a number of locations globally and part of the Global Marketing & Communications Department.Job Purpose/RoleThis role, based within my clients Marketing & Communications organisation will report to the Lead Global Media, based in Paris.The position provides an opportunity to contribute to my clients efforts to increase its brand recognition and reputation globally. This role is for a communications/PR generalist, who will help deliver the companys ambitious media relations, internalcommunications, and social media goals. This person will work closely with executives, experts, and the global communications team to realise media hooks and develop multimedia materials for external and internal channels.The right candidate will be a natural self-starter with a proactive attitude who is keen to develop their communications career within an ambitious global team.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:· Plans and executes local media relations activities in UK; develops relationships with key journalists across national, international, and broadcast media, as well as the specialist financial trade press.;· Acts as a responsive first point of contact for in-bound and out-bound, day-to-day press engagement;· Arranges and manages media meetings;· Proactively identifies upcoming news hooks from my clients global organisation, crafting articles and commentary for external and internal channels;· Responsible for drafting and distributing media announcements, as well as leading the maintenance of targeted media distribution lists;· Responsible for UK media web page;· Plans and executes events for media including press conferences and networking events;· Responsible for logging and reporting UK media activity;· Leads UK specific awards entries and submissions;· Craft posts and manage activity pipeline of Linked In activity for key spokes peoples social media;· Plays an active role in London office events, culture, and engagement.Key Relationships:Within Marketing & Communications:· Global communications colleagues; This role is embedded in the global communications organisation across Europe and Asia Pacific;· Collaborates with the Lead Global Media, Head of Communications & Positioning, and the Content team to plan, create and distribute investment content globally;· Cooperates closely with other regional communicators to take advantage of multi-market media opportunities;· Works closely with colleagues to amplify social media content.Within the Business:· Senior spokespeople;· Chief Investment Officers, portfolio managers, across Equity, Fixed Income, Multi-asset, and private market Investments in any of my clients global centres of competence;· Colleagues in Sales & Marketing.Business Knowledge / Technical Skills:· Proven track record of effective media relations with clear relevant experience through an agency or in-house, preferably in financial services;· Ability to understand complex subject matter and re-purpose for media;· Able to demonstrate strong intercultural skills with an international outlook and desire to work as part of a global team;· Knowledge of a broad range of financial topics essential as well as interest in global current affairs and social media platforms;· Ability to drive global processes whilst considering regional / local requirements;· Fluency in verbal and written English (knowledge of German, would be an advantage).· Advanced/Intermediate in MS-Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);Personal Attributes· Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) able to communicate ideas in different formats and situations for different audiences;· A self-starter who will be willing to get involved in all areas of the business and function;· Very well-organised and able to work to deadlines, with meticulous attention to detail;· High level of motivation, strong commitment, and result-oriented attitude;· Able to build positive and respectful relationships at all levels across the organisation;· Commercially focused, operationally strong, and strategically responsive;· Demonstrates professional acumen, integrity, discretion, credibility, resilience & trustworthiness;· Collaborative and works well within a team, but equally able to work on own initiative;· Strong interpersonal, client relationship, influencing and communication skills;· Strong judgement and problem-solving skills.· Have strong numeracy and analytical skills;Educational Qualifications:· Degree qualified in a related field of study (e.g., Marketing, Business, etc.) or have relevant equivalent experience.In our company values we aim for equity at all stages of the recruitment process, please let us know if we can do anything to make the process more accessible to you.
