Job Description

Murray McIntosh are leading the search for a Communications and Campaigns Manager on behalf of RenewableUK, the leading trade association for the renewable energy sector.Supporting over 400 member companies made up of business leaders, technology innovators, and expert thinkers from right across industry, RenewableUK are building our future energy system, powered by clean electricity.The Communications and Campaigns Manager will take responsibility for crafting campaigns that highlight the benefits of renewable deployment, playing a key role in engaging the public on the journey.Reporting into the Head of Strategic Engagement, this is an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with the policy team and shape messaging on key focus areas such as wind energy, green hydrogen, and aviation.Were looking for someone who can take the lead on strategy, thinks creatively and takes the initiative.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working together with the policy team to ensure an impactful presence across all social media channels
  • Working with the team to improve member communications, curating engaging content and the use of different channels to maximise impact
  • Identifying opportunities for translating complex policy work into accessible and impactful messages and incorporating these into long-term campaigns
  • Line managing a social media officer
They are looking for someone with:
  • Proven track record of successful campaign management in support of policy objectives
  • A passionate copywriter with outstanding editing and literacy skills
  • Knowledge of social media and how to harness its reach
  • Good knowledge of the energy transition and the challenges and opportunities associated with it
