Communications AssistantMoorfields Eye CharityBased in Old Street, Central London (hybrid working offered)£24,060 - £28,306Charity People are delighted to be working with Moorfields Eye Charity to recruit a Communications Assistant.About Moorfields Eye CharityThe Charity is the main grant making and fundraising charity for Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and its academic partner, the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology. It provides targeted funds, above and beyond the responsibility of the NHS, making adifference for patients at the trust and for people with sight loss around the world. The charity helps the trust provide the best possible care for its patients, educate the researchers and clinicians of tomorrow and support leading-edge research that aimsto develop new treatments for blinding diseases.The JobWe are looking for a Communications Assistant to come in and manage a range of exciting campaigns to help increase brand awareness for the charity. You will help to build the external and internal profile of Moorfields Eye Charity to a wide range of audiencesincluding supporters and grant recipients, staff across Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and its academic partner, the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.This is primarily a digital role. The post holder will support the implementation of the charitys communications strategy. You will be responsible for updating the day-to-day content of the charitys website and social media channels, to meet communicationsKPIs and organisational objectives. You will help enhance content and improve engagement responding to analytics results.You will also support the Digital Communications Officer with email communications using Mailchimp including implementing processes across other teams.The post holder will be responsible for supporting wider delivery of the charitys communications activity such as producing content for the website, newsletter etc, organising the images library, and helping with the production of other media - films, podcastsetc.The CandidateWe are looking for someone with experience in marketing or communications, both offline and online. You should have knowledge and experience of social media and digital platforms, excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills, an ability to manage multiplecampaigns simultaneously, have an ability to work to deadlines and prioritising work and be have the attitude get stuck in and help develop brand awareness for the charity!Charity People are managing all applications for this role; interested applicants should send their CV in the first instance.Charity People actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion.
