Job Description

This vibrant and exciting business is looking for a Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) Management Accountant to join the team in a new role. As a new role, there is a chance to really put your stamp on things and make a big impact on the team and business.Beyond more typical Management Accounting responsibilities, they are looking for someone with experience in Tableau (report development, setting things up) to improve the quality of data and insight the finance team is able to deliver. And they need someone who will really make a difference with the output from Tableau to partner with the business and support decision making. So plenty of opportunity to Business Partner and support commercial decision making.Responsibilities:

  • Providing in-depth analysis in relation to revenue and costs and ensuring both are well controlled.
  • Providing detailed P&L reports and analysis by revenue stream and delivering to commercial controllers within the business. Significant analysis on price and sales variance expected.
  • Preparing Management Accounts for multiple UK entities (c.5).
  • Ensuring Balance Sheet is reconciled at month-end.
  • Supervise and mentor part-qualified Assistant Accountant.
  • Assist with the implementation of Tableau and then help / lead (as skill dictates) the reporting functionality within Tableau for finance.
  • Lead on the development of new financial models in Excel, to support a recent change in the revenue model.
    • About you:
  • Qualified Accountant or late-stage studier (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Tableau experience highly desirable. Either as a user, or more in-depth experience in building out reports or implementing the product.
  • Good financially modeling experience and good Excel to aid this.
  • Able to act as a trusted Business Partner to commercial management and exec within the business.
  • Plenty of initiative and able to spot trends and commercial opportunities through the financial data you deliver.
  • Positive, high energy, happy to be the face of finance.
  • Able to work with autonomy and minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable coaching / mentoring more junior members of the team.
