This provides clients with faster access to new IT applications and innovative business models, while also reducing risk.Role Summary We are looking for a technologist to join the GFT team and help build out our rapidly expanding Hybrid Cloud Consulting & Delivery business. Ideally you will have experience of at least one of the big 3 CSPs (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure), but if you are strong in other areas and want to pivot your career to the cloud then we will ensure you get that chance. You must be as comfortable discussing traditional infrastructure services such as ESXi, Active Directory, BGP & DNS, as you are discussing cloud services.Role Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate thought leadership in emerging technologies, and how they can be employed to improve solutions
  • Manage/lead technical delivery teams in pods/squads
  • Balancing best of breed technical implementation with the commercial/business schedule and work within budget imperatives
  • Comfortable with stakeholder engagement and influencing up to CxO
  • Comfortable preparing, and leading technical presales meetings and workshops for clients
  • Lead design and development of solution architecture of highly available, secure, and scalable cloud applications and supporting infrastructure
  • Comfortable with presenting GFT technical offerings to large client/industry audiences at industry events such as Google Next, AWS re:Invent, or community meetups
    • Competencies and Skills NeededMandatory Skills:
  • Certified in one or more cloud platforms: Google Cloud/Azure/AWS - Solution Architect, Network and Security specialisations preferred
  • Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services: compute, storage, networking, hybrid connectivity, monitoring/logging, security and IAM
  • Working knowledge of traditional infrastructure services: compute, storage, networking, Virtualisation, IDAM, Linux/Windows administration, Data Centre migrations.
  • Working knowledge of Terraform and Hashicorp product suite
  • DevOps tooling, GitOps, CI/CD, config management, and source control systems
  • Programming/scripting languages such as Python, and Bash and how to manage code
  • Data serialisation languages such as JSON and YAML
  • Knowledge of CSP managed container orchestration and and service mesh solutions
  • Solid understanding of:
  • Cloud data services
  • Cloud security principles and tooling
  • DevOps principles and automation tooling
    • Behavioural Skills
  • An ability to apply structured thinking, simplifying complex problems into component parts, to the resolution of project challenges.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to be able to establish rapport with people at all levels.
  • An eye for detail and accuracy, and an affinity with design issues and the ability to help establish and own a vision for our solutions.
  • Organizational ability and tenacity; able to think ahead in order to establish an efficient and appropriate course of action for self and others.
